Oil sands, "not a disaster"

If I remember well, dangerous chemicals have been found in the downstream waters.
The trees plantation is just a way to give a better look to an area which remains a devastated area.

Who is to blame ? All of us, probably !
As we want to fuel our car and get cheap energy.
Democracy enable us to put people in place who will get that for us.
We will look away when we hear of some evidence of what is done to get us this cheap energy.
When the evidence is written down on a paper, we will blame the politicians.
But we will put them back in office at the next opportunity.

We will be unable to stop the tragedy.
When no oil/gas/... will be left, we will then start to consider changing our ways.

I am sorry that what helped civilization to prosper will also help it to die.
